Magellan peers make a difference in recovery
Magellan was the first company to recognize the critical role of peer support in the recovery process. We employ individuals with lived experience and actively include these individuals as part of the treatment process, as you'll see in our new video series. Alex Ramos from Magellan Complete Care in Florida is featured here. To see all six videos, visit www.MagellanHealth.com/training under Learning opportunities. Watch and be inspired.
Mental Health America features Magellan in video series
Mental Health America (MHA) and ITN Productions selected Magellan as the only managed care company to feature in #B4Stage4, an online program aiming to improve early intervention and combat mental health stigma. The video highlights Magellan's Integrated Health Home (IHH) Initiative in Iowa, demonstrating its positive impact from the perspective of a member and her IHH provider.
“Magellan responds very well to feedback. They listen. They want to know what their members are going through so they can see where things can be improved, and they are willing to work with you as an individual.” See Jen Genzler's video to learn more. Visit the "Who we serve" page on this site for details on Magellan's work in Nebraska and other states.
Youth and families are central to decision-making at Magellan. Our system-of-care approach helps each individual reach their potential to successfully live at home, achieve in school, participate in their communities and enter adulthood.
